What is BLEF?

The Basehor-Linwood Education Foundation, established in 1999, is a non-profit charitable foundation that offers a formal, managed system to
provide solutions for exceptional educational needs of the district. The foundation qualifies as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and is governed
by a Board of Directors.

When do we start?

 2022 show organizers have just started meeting to plan the show. We will need many more volunteers!  The event requires significant planning
and fundraising, which is normally done throughout the year. We will host our annual car show on 10 September 2022.
The car show is a major effort that funds BLEF and Basehor VFW. We will also have other fundraising events that will be announced.

Where does the money come from?
Sponsorships.
BLEF and VFW Post #11499 are independent organizations. We do not receive any funding from the school budget. Thanks to the generosity of parents, businesses, local community, and the Car Show community. If you have previously supported us with donations (food, prizes, props, etc.) we thank you

How can you help?
We need volunteers! Sign up to be a volunteer!

To be added to the email list, contact us at [email protected]. Please consider attending one of our planning meetings.

We also need people to help us contact local businesses, employers, etc. and solicit sponsorships. Maybe you don’t like to beg for money?
That’s OK – we need gear heads to call other gear heads, friends and relatives - we need many volunteers for the Car Show to help with parking, food, registration, judging, etc. If you would like to, or know a good judge candidate please contact us!!
Finally, we’ll need people to help with cleanup activities!

For many years, (since 1997) volunteers and community members have produced the Basehor Car Show,
developing the car show into what it is today! BLEF and VFW are grateful that the Basehor & Linwood communities have traditionally
endorsed efforts to provide a safe and fun-filled environment where our show can take place.
